The station’s strongest feature is its complete independence from infrastructure:

  • Solar Energy (Off-grid): Thanks to the high-performance photovoltaic panel integrated into its roof and the internal battery system, the station is fully autonomous. It produces and stores its own clean energy to operate the scale, display and data transmission systems.
  • Installation without Restrictions: No costly excavation work, connections to the electrical grid or wiring are required. The station can be placed directly at any point where there is a need (squares, parks, stops, school complexes, beaches).
  • Green Footprint: The recycling operation itself is supported by zero pollutants, enhancing the ecological character of the project.

HOW IT WORKS: COTIZEN EXPERIENCE & AYTOMATION

  1. Material Disposal: The citizen approaches the station and disposes of their recyclable materials in the internal 1100L bin through the special slot.
  2. Automatic Weighing & Rewarding: The integrated weighing system with industrial load cells automatically calculates the exact weight. The digital screen on the front (powered by photovoltaic) displays the data, while the smart software can credit the citizen with corresponding reward points (rewarding benefit via application or citizen card).
  3. Smart Full Notification (IoT): When the bin is approaching its capacity limit, the system automatically sends a wireless notification (via a low-power mobile network) to the Municipality’s cleaning service, so that its immediate collection can be scheduled.

Because the system is intended for outdoor use, its construction has been appropriately shielded:

  • Anti-vandal Design: The cabinet is made of thick, high-strength steel with reinforced locks, protecting the internal bin and electronic systems from malicious actions.
  • Weather Protection: The special industrial electrostatic paint (outdoor type) offers superior resistance to ultraviolet radiation (UV), rain, humidity and corrosion.
  • Hygiene & Aesthetics: The closed nature of the cabinet prevents the dispersion of waste by the wind, protects against stray animals and prevents odors, maintaining the aesthetics of the urban landscape at a high level.
  • Easy Collection: The large front door allows cleaning staff to open the cabinet and drag out the 1100L wheeled bin in a matter of seconds.
